Educational Assessments
Educational assessments measure a child’s academic ability level in a range of areas. Results acquired through the assessment process provide an indicator of a child’s skill in a particular academic area, compared to a normative age- or grade-matched sample.

We commonly use The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test®-Third Edition: Australian & New Zealand. The WIAT-III (Australian & NZ) is a comprehensive, individually administered achievement assessment which measures an individual’s levels of achievement in academic areas such as reading, spelling and numeracy.

Why get an Educational Assessment?

-
To find out if your child has any specific difficulties with reading, writing, maths or attention.

-
To identify the specific learning strategies and types of support they are likely to benefit from – at home and at school.

-
To help them gain insight into their own learning ability.

-
So parents can make informed decisions about their child's education, such as school choice, extra-curricular programs or applying for extra time on exams.
